Or you are running a growing business, and want to develop your managers and aspiring managers.  You are looking for training that is practical, but includes a grounding in management theory and recognised good practice.

Level 3 Programme Overview

Manager The ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management covers the essential skills required of a manager.

It’s ideal if you are new to management, or if you’ve been a manager for a while but haven’t completed a structured training programme to help you in your role.

The programme comprises an exciting combination of workshops and personal coaching  to offer development that is practical and relates to your day to day activities, as well as developing your skills and confidence.

It also leads to a qualification, accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management.

We also offer Leadership programmes at Level 5, for those moving up in management, or taking on a more strategic role.

What topics does the programme cover?

The ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management is based around units. This makes it very flexible as the choice of units means the syllabus can be tailored to your needs.

A typical programme might cover the following unit topics:

  • Understanding leadership
  • Leading and motivating a team effectively
  • Understanding organising and delegating in the workplace
  • Solving problems and make decisions

Our programmes are not “off the shelf”.  You meet with us first to discuss your needs, and we include the topics of most relevance and importance to your team.

You can find a full list of unit topics HERE.

How is the programme delivered?

We can deliver in a way that suits your needs. Typically people enjoy a series of small group workshops followed by individual coaching.

The syllabus above would normally include three workshops.

Managers will also be asked to complete written assignment for each unit. These assignments are designed to help relate learning to the workplace.

Your training will be delivered by either Felicity Dwyer or Maggie Piazza.

Both Maggie and Felicity are passionate about facilitating a learning environment where mutual trust and support can develop. We aim to facilitate a quality learning experience for you, as well as the opportunity to gain a qualification.

Included in the programme is free studying membership of the ILM, which gives you access to a substantial set of management tools and resources. This is addition to the resources and workbooks included in the training programme.
